Nuwaraeliya

 

Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful cold town in the central highlands of Lanka. There are many beautiful places in this city. Pidurutalagala is also located in this city. Nuwara Eliya is very famous city for tea. When entering this city, there is a large number of tea plantations on both sides of the road. Nuwara Eliya was founded by Samuel Baker. Although this city was discovered by the British, but mostly Sri Lankans came here. As this area is located at a very high altitude above sea level, Nuwara Eliya has a colder climate than the lowlands of Sri Lanka.Its mean annual temperature is 16 degrees Celsius.
